Therapeutic Restorative Yoga(EN)

Therapeutic Restorative Yoga. The idea with Therapeutic Restorative Yoga is to be as completely comfortable and relaxed as possible. It takes time for the nervous system to calm down, so the postures are held for a longer period of time, typically 5 minutes or more. We make ample use of the ‘props’ available, including blankets, bolsters, eye bags, blocks, sand bags, etc. – whatever we can find that helps us to be comfortable and supported in the postures. Rather than going for maximum stretch, we are exploring deep, sustained, nurturing relaxation.

Restorative Yoga practices calm us down when we are overly ‘hyped up’, and give us an energy
Boost, when we are drained or tired, In other words, they encourage our para-sympathetic nervous system to dominate, leading to a state of calm.

Restorative Yoga is a healing practice that brings the body, mind, and nervous system into balance.

Movement is a powerful language, the Elements Dance is a sacred combinations of movements performed to connect with nature and inner equilibrium. Traditionally the Dance is given as initiation ritual when girls reach their first moon cycle. The movements feed our body, soul and spirit, connecting us to the Earth. The Dance its a way to commune with nature, to honor and celebrate. Indigenous people perform this dance as a ritual to create harmony, release their fears and return to their natural state of Self. The workshop will support you to understand and embody the Dance. You will learn the meaning of the directions and the qualities os the elements. During the workshop you will embrace the movements of The Dance, the words that invoke power to it and its traditional origin. You will be empowered with all the 4 cycles of the dance and will be able to take this learning forward, practicing in your life and sharing it with others.

Gyrokinesis® (EN)

The Gyrokinesis® Method is a holistic movement system which systematically works the joints and muscles through gentle, rhythmic exercises. This stimulates the internal organs, decompresses the joints, and shapes the muscles.This system was developed by the former ballet dancer Juliu Horvath. After a spinal injury, he created this unique training concept which combines therapeutic principles with elements of yoga, dance and Tai Chi. Unlike conventional training methods Gyrokinesis® utilizes free-flowing and three-dimensional movements to generate more freedom and expansion in the body. It not only increases your strength but also improves flexibility and coordination in a playful and structured way.

The first part of the training is performed while sitting on a stool to support a greater understanding of the relationship between the pelvis and spine, also allowing the gentle correction of imbalances between the two sides of the body. The movements for each exercise are supported by corresponding breathing patterns, which create a deeper synchronization of body and mind and boost concentration.
