Dr. Chunquan Zhu is the Head of Nature Initiatives & TFA, China, at the WEF Beijing Representative Office.With profound expertise in fields such as nature conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable development, he previously served as the Resident Representative of the China Office of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
Currently, Dr. Zhu’s work primarily focuses on research and policy advocacy in areas including the transition to the New Nature Economy, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem accounting, sustainable development, and nature-based solutions and ecological civilization. He has pioneered the concept of Green Economic Principles (GEP) and initiated research pilot projects in this regard.
