Wei Zhang is Assistant Resident Representative at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in China, leading communications, innovation, and partnerships.

With over 17 years of experience in the UN system, she has been dedicated to advancing innovation-driven collaboration and sustainable development, fostering partnerships among governments, businesses, and international organizations. She led the establishment of the Chengdu Sustainable Development Innovation Lab, promoting technology-enabled development transformation, and has convened multiple international forums on AI and sustainable development, focusing on climate action and gender equality.

She also actively promotes international cooperation and capacity building, including facilitating international procurement engagement and talent development, contributing to deeper integration between China and global sustainable development efforts.
