Julie Nie

Julie Nie is a professional in environmental protection and green development, currently serving as Chairwoman of the Treelion Foundation in Hong Kong. She has been actively promoting ecological restoration and sustainable development initiatives.
She is particularly engaged in introducing the Kubuqi desert restoration model to the international community, sharing China’s experience in transforming desert landscapes into sustainable ecosystems while balancing environmental protection with economic development. She is also involved in discussions on green finance and ESG, and collaborates with academic institutions and public platforms to promote environmental awareness and youth engagement in sustainable development. She previously served as Chair of the Treelion Foundation.
