Paul Myler

Ambassador Paul Myler is a senior Australian diplomat with over 30 years of experience in geopolitics, economic policy, and international security. He served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Washington, D.C. (2021–2024), supporting key initiatives including AUKUS, the Quad, and supply chain resilience.
He previously served as Australia’s Ambassador to Russia and Central Asia, and held multiple senior roles across Indo-Pacific strategy, cybersecurity, and international economic policy. He also led Australia’s diplomatic response to the Global Financial Crisis and contributed to national defence and cybersecurity strategies.
