From the five-member family structure of the 1970s and 1980s—comprising two grandparents, parents, and one only child—to today's new five-member family composition of parents and three children (first, second, and third child), how have the positions of family members and the rules governing their interactions changed? How should divorced parents interact with each other and with their children? How should parents in newly formed blended families navigate their relationships? How should the children get along? How should stepparents and stepchildren build their relationships? ... Faced with these emerging family structures, are you prepared? This workshop will explore topics such as co-parenting after divorce and relationships within newly formed families.
