As a new generation of family business leaders and wealth stewards step forward, they face both a challenge and a calling:to go beyond traditional asset management and activate capital in service of life, legacy, and systems regeneration.

This lab invites families—across generations, geographies, and governance models—to explore the evolution from single-capital thinking to poly-capital design: the integration of financial, spiritual, natural, social, and intellectual wealth. Participants will dive into real case studies, test new collaborative models, and begin the design of personal and collective action pathways.

Asia’s rapidly ageing population presents both urgent challenges and unprecedented opportunities. This panel explores how visionary Asian family leaders are reshaping the “silver economy” by blending tradition, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. From reimagining eldercare services to investing in health-tech and community well-being, these families are mobilising capital, influence, and partnerships to create sustainable, inclusive ageing ecosystems.

Featuring perspectives from leaders of the sector, the discussion will highlight philanthropic approaches, impact investing models, and next-gen leadership strategies that redefine ageing from a social burden into a platform for transformation. As the silver economy expands, these families are proving that addressing ageing needs can simultaneously generate social impact, economic value, and enduring legacies—offering a blueprint for others across the region to follow.

Family offices are uniquely positioned to lead the next wave of impact investing—blending legacy, values, and capital to create lasting change. Yet many families still treat impact as a side initiative, rather than an integrated architecture of their investment strategy.

In this training and workshop session, led by the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) the team brings together family principals, next-gen leaders, and advisors to explore how to embed impact into the very core of governance, capital allocation, and measurement practices. Through collaborative design challenges, participants will co-create strategies for aligning family values with investment theses, activating diverse capital tools, and defining metrics that reflect both purpose and performance. By moving from intention to allocation, families can ensure their legacy is not only preserved but actively shaping a well-being economy for generations to come.

How do you align personal purpose with intentional action? This programme, co-designed by Barclays and CSP Singapore, supports impact-curious wealth holders through a mix of workshops, peer dialogue, and real-world stories.

While clarity of purpose is essential, many wealth holders face real emotional and structural challenges when moving from intent to action. In this phase, participants will examine the barriers that often hold them back—from fear of judgment and family dynamics to lack of know-how and siloed systems. In a safe and supportive environment, the programme guides them to name these obstacles and begin developing strategies to overcome them. Participants will also explore entry points into purposeful wealth deployment, including small capital allocations, collaborative initiatives, and cross-generational engagement.

Ultimately, this series offers a structured yet personal entry point into the world of purposeful wealth stewardship, helping participants align their capital, relationships, and influence with their deeper purpose.

In an era of overlapping crises—climate instability, AI-driven upheaval, and persistent inequality—the pressure to create impact is no longer optional. Every sector is now being asked: What good are you actually doing? Businesses are building sustainability into their models. Investors are embedding ESG (however imperfectly) into their portfolios. But what about philanthropy?

In this bold debate, we ask whether philanthropy has lost its nerve—or whether it’s the only form of capital free enough to lead systemic change. As calls grow louder for strategic giving, risk-taking, and justice-oriented funding, the role of philanthropy is at a crossroads. Should it behave more like business, with defined metrics and scalable models? Or is that very mindset what philanthropy must resist?

These immersive sessions are designed to spark inspiration and build confidence to begin taking meaningful steps.

When young people are seen not just as “leaders of tomorrow” and elders are respected as keepers of wisdom, we unlock a more holistic model of leadership—one that combines urgency with patience, imagination with experience, and courage with care.

Participants will explore how to design institutions, movements, and financial systems that embody this intergenerational ethic. The goal is to shift leadership from a vertical hierarchy to a collective model of stewardship.

In this session, the speaker will present a bold and timely case: what if institutions were evaluated not only by their return on investment (ROI), but by their Return on Values (ROV)?

Drawing from practice within higher education, this session opens a wider conversation for business, philanthropy, and public institutions alike: how do we redesign organisational cultures, incentive structures, and performance indicators to be anchored in values such as integrity, equity, compassion, and stewardship?

The session will unpack how polycrisis can be transformed into poly-opportunities in a post-pandemic, polycrisis world, where values-aligned institutions are not only more trusted but also more adaptive, resilient, and future-fit.

Universities are more than centres of learning—they can serve as epicentres for inclusive urban transformation. With their research expertise, intellectual capital, and convening power, universities are uniquely positioned to address entrenched social and environmental challenges. Sunway University’s Desa Mentari Community Development Programme illustrates this potential, revitalising a marginalised, high-density urban community through data-driven solutions, student involvement, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

This workshop explores how universities can become anchor institutions for urban resilience, partnering with communities, local governments, and businesses to co-create solutions for urgent social issues such as poverty, housing insecurity, and systemic inequality. It showcases how academic research can influence policy, inspire innovation, and deliver practical support beyond campus walls. Participants will engage in hands-on work to design adaptable, community-focused frameworks for transformation, tailored to local needs. The session also highlights the importance of embedding real-world challenges into curricula, nurturing student leadership, and practising inclusive governance.

It poses a powerful question: What if a university’s legacy was not in rankings, but in the lives and neighbourhoods it transformed—through bold, collaborative Public–Private–People Partnerships that begin just beyond its gates?
