Mr. Ian Zhu is a founding member of NIO Capital and played a key role in building the firm’s investment team, setting up its venture and growth funds, and establishing its operations. His investment focus includes smart electric vehicles, low carbon energy networks, mobility and logistics services and manufacturing innovations. He led NIO Capital’s investments in CATL (300750.SZ), Ronbay (688005.SH), TUHU (9690.HK), Momenta, Pony.ai (PONY. NASDAQ), Newlinks Technology, Inceptio Technology, Black Sesame Technologies (2533.HK), TrunkTech, Seyond, BoCloud, among others.
Mr. Zhu has extensive experience in investment, fund management and business management. Prior to joining NIO Capital, he was a Managing Partner and Investment Committee member of Tsing Capital, where he led investments in Lucid (LCID.NASDAQ), Jing-Jin Electric (688280.SH) and Horizon Robotics (9660.HK). Ian also worked in both start-ups and large technology companies like AT&T, where he managed diverse functions, including sales, business development, engineering and R&D.
Mr. Zhu holds a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business and dual bachelor’s degrees in physics and economics from Peking University.

Dr. Siti Maryam Yaakub, Senior Director of the International Blue Carbon Institute at Conservation International, leads the institute’s global efforts in translating blue carbon science into tools and methodologies for climate mitigation and adaptation. Based in Singapore, she spearheads initiatives aimed at fostering multidisciplinary expertise and cultivating a resource hub for knowledge exchange.
Siti is a marine ecologist and works across tropical marine and coastal habitats. Her work and research interests broadly lie in the areas of ecosystem restoration and nature-based solutions for adaptation and mitigation in marine environments. Within this, she is specifically interested in using seagrass habitats as a model system for understanding ecological thresholds to stress, ecosystem resilience, and the effects of human activities and climate change on the marine environment.

Brian oversees the sustainability matters of the company, including sustainability governance setup, framework adoption, target setting and monitoring as well as sustainability and climate risk reporting according to international standards.
He advocates and advises on carbon reduction strategies on both organizational and product levels to help achieve the company’s net-zero emission target by 2050. He is in charge of organization and product sustainability certification as well as social responsibility system and sustainability assessment such as EcoVadis, UL’s Zero Waste to Landfill Certification and amfori BSCI social responsibility standard.
He is currently a member of the amfori Member Advisory Committee which provides strategic input from a business perspective for amfori standards.

Bradford M. Willis is a Senior Associate at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment. He focuses on integrated policy and financing strategies to accelerate the transition of energy, industry, and natural resource systems around the world. Most recently, he was a Special Advisor to the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions, where he focused on developing sustainable investment mechanisms, shaping regional transition pathways, and bridging public-private action to unlock and scale just, climate-aligned economic transformation.
He began his career working on energy transition and net zero related topics for major utilities and energy service providers across North America, Europe, the Middle East, & Africa. In 2021, He began working with the World Economic Forum’s Transitioning Industrial Clusters Initiative supporting the regional decarbonization of hard-to-abate industry. In the lead up to COP28, he was Seconded to the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions to lead their Clean Power & Green Hydrogen before transitioning to high-level advisory on cross-sectoral breakthrough targets for key industries and enabling policy/finance mechanisms.
He now advises private sector leaders, national and subnational governments, and multilateral organizations on the structural shifts needed to align investment, infrastructure, and policy with 21st-century climate and development goals. He works across industries, geographies, and intersecting spheres of political and economic influence to bridge sustainable development, finance, and global polycrisis responses.

Chavalit Frederick Tsao is the fourth-generation steward of TPC (Tsao Pao Chee), a family business with more than 120 years of history, established in the late 1800s during the Qing Dynasty. He was born in Hong Kong, China, and after completing his education at the University of Michigan, Chavalit joined the family business at the age of 20 and became the chairman at the age of 37. He also served as the chairman of Intercargo, where he established innovative platforms to promote collaboration within the maritime sector.
Chavalit’s background and experience gave him unique insights into global sustainability challenges and founded East West Cultural Development Centre in 1995 to research this topic. He discovered that integrating ancient wisdom and modern science creates a holistic approach to cultivating leadership for this era.

Mr. Satya Tripathi is a development economist, lawyer, and changemaker with over 40 years of varied experience and currently serves as the Secretary General at the Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet – an organisation that drives green transformation and sustainable enterprise modelling by leveraging private finance, aiming to achieve the climate goals by 2030.
He has served with the United Nations for almost two decades, as the UN Assistant Secretary-General, head of New York Office at UN Environment and Secretary of the UN, and was instrumental in establishing the Tropical Landscapes Finance Facility (TLFF) in Indonesia in 2016 and the Sustainable India Finance Facility (SIFF) in 2017 to garner ‘private finance for public good’ at mega-scale to achieve transformative social and environmental impact for millions of people in developing countries.
