FBN Asia through this inaugural Impact Forum event brings IMPACT WEEK 2025’s Well-being pillar to life, challenging global family business leaders to root every decision in the flourishing of life.

Through candid conversations and real-life examples, families will explore how to evolve from wealth preservation to regenerative stewardship—moving beyond individual accumulation to collective care. Interactive partnerships and co-investment opportunities demonstrate how multi-generational thinking can transform business models that serve significance, not just success.

At IMPACT WEEK 2025, well-being is not an outcome, but the organising principle of systems. This forum showcases how family enterprises, with their natural capacity for long-term thinking and values-driven decision making, can become the foundation upon which all other pillars of the Well-being Economy stand.

The most transformative sustainable finance models are emerging from Public-Private-Philanthropy-Partnerships (4Ps) that align around shared impact for a well-being economy. Corporate philanthropy plays a pivotal role in this ecosystem, bridging commercial interests with catalytic impact through strategic co-investment alongside public and philanthropic partners.

Beyond traditional CSR, corporate philanthropy has evolved to be a catalytic force—using grant capital to de-risk commercial investments while leveraging broader corporate assets. This session will explore how corporates can serve as both catalytic funders and strategic partners, collaborating with different stakeholders to fund innovation, crowd in private investment, accelerate sustainable transitions, and generate long-term value.

Models will be highlighted that integrate philanthropy with corporate strategy within 4Ps frameworks to drive scalable impact. AVPN will also introduce ASPIRE (Asia Partnership for Investment in Resilient Economies), a multi-stakeholder initiative aimed at unlocking scalable, people-centred finance for climate action and the SDGs in Asia.

In an era of overlapping crises—climate instability, AI-driven upheaval, and persistent inequality—the pressure to create impact is no longer optional. Every sector is now being asked: What good are you actually doing? Businesses are building sustainability into their models. Investors are embedding ESG (however imperfectly) into their portfolios. But what about philanthropy?

In this bold debate, we ask whether philanthropy has lost its nerve—or whether it’s the only form of capital free enough to lead systemic change. As calls grow louder for strategic giving, risk-taking, and justice-oriented funding, the role of philanthropy is at a crossroads. Should it behave more like business, with defined metrics and scalable models? Or is that very mindset what philanthropy must resist?

How do you align personal purpose with intentional action? This programme, co-designed by Barclays and CSP Singapore, supports impact-curious wealth holders through a mix of workshops, peer dialogue, and real-world stories.

In the first phase, participants will explore their core motivations, personal values, and ambitions for impact. Through reflective exercises and peer engagement, they will gain deeper clarity about what drives them and what kind of legacy they hope to shape. The programme also brings participants face-to-face with activated changemakers, helping them understand what it means to be a changemaker themselves. These immersive sessions are designed to spark inspiration and build confidence to begin taking meaningful steps.

For centuries, Asian traditions such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and ancestral kitchens have treated food as both nourishment and healing. Modern science now confirms what ancient wisdom long understood: diet can prevent, manage, and even reverse chronic disease. A plant-forward diet—centered on grains, legumes, and vegetables—is one of the most accessible ways to support both personal health and the planet.

Yet across much of Asia, meat remains central to the plate, often seen as a symbol of wealth and strength. This cultural norm persists despite livestock contributing 14% of global greenhouse gas emissions and accelerating land degradation. The gap between what we eat and what we know is growing.

This session reframes ‘food as medicine’ as both a personal wellness philosophy and a climate solution. It explores the potential of holistic diets, culinary innovation, and a systemic shift from meat-centric to plant-forward eating. It also asks how we can move beyond awareness to embed ancient wisdom into modern food systems—transforming trend into tradition and healing both people and planet.

In a world marked by rapid change and overlapping crises, the responsibility for shaping the future cannot rest solely on the next generation, nor should the past be the burden of those who came before. What’s needed now is a new kind of leadership—shared, intergenerational, and regenerative.

This session challenges traditional ideas of leadership succession and legacy. It is not about transferring power or debating who leads, but about uniting generations around a common purpose to lead together. When young people are seen not just as “leaders of tomorrow” and elders are respected as keepers of wisdom, we unlock a more holistic model of leadership—one that combines urgency with patience, imagination with experience, and courage with care.

Participants will explore how to design institutions, movements, and financial systems that embody this intergenerational ethic. The goal is to shift leadership from a vertical hierarchy to a collective model of stewardship.

We live in a world where fragmentation of knowledge and sectors into bubble logics and the imperative of one-dimensional growth have deepened our collective crises from climate breakdown to widening inequality. The Fifth Element, an initiative by the Club of Rome, invites us to reimagine learning not as instruction, but as a living, relational practice rooted in life’s complexity. In a truly regenerative economy, one that fosters inclusive and sustainable prosperity, learning is not secondary to change; it becomes the core element of any strategy and the medium through which change becomes possible. Regenerative organisations, led by regenerative leaders, move their strategy beyond sustainability and circularity toward a net-positive impact on people and planet and they do so by embracing learning at the depth required, not as a silo but as culture in motion.

This session calls upon leaders, professionals, and change-makers of all ages to engage in intergenerational and intercultural learning alliances for regeneration, spaces where ancestral wisdom meets scientific inquiry, and community practice meets systems thinking. Together, we aim to explore how learning that is embedded in life itself can seed the skills, literacies, and worldviews we need to transform our economies and societies.

In a time when trust in institutions is eroding, and decision-making is driven more by metrics than meaning, the call to restore values at the heart of organisations is not just ethical—it’s strategic. In this session, the speaker will present a bold and timely case: what if institutions were evaluated not only by their return on investment (ROI), but by their Return on Values (ROV)?

Drawing from practice within higher education, this session opens a wider conversation for business, philanthropy, and public institutions alike: how do we redesign organisational cultures, incentive structures, and performance indicators to be anchored in values such as integrity, equity, compassion, and stewardship?

The session will unpack how polycrisis can be transformed into poly-opportunities in a post-pandemic, polycrisis world, where values-aligned institutions are not only more trusted but also more adaptive, resilient, and future-fit.

Helping Homeless Families Find HOPE through Project 4650 highlights a critical tension in today’s social support systems: how to provide safety and compassion without fostering dependency or disempowerment. Emerging from the urgent needs of families living in Interim Rental Housing (IRH) blocks in Singapore’s Siglap division, the initiative reveals the layered challenges of poverty, housing insecurity, and fragmented services that often trap families in prolonged instability.

More than a welfare scheme, Project 4650 is a model for collaborative governance. Spearheaded by then MP Dr Maliki Osman, the project brings together government agencies, businesses, and community groups to co-create an ecosystem of transitional, empowering, and dignity-based support. It asks vital questions: how can public assistance uplift without creating long-term dependency? How can communities show solidarity without letting compassion become entitlement?

This session explores the design and scaling of “transitional support” frameworks that integrate trust, accountability, and empowerment. It invites us to rethink social services—from static safety nets to dynamic springboards—and to cultivate a shared culture of contribution over consumption.

What if the true shift in national development lies not in a new metric, but a new mindset? Can inner transformation drive systemic change?

As societies grapple with complex social, environmental, and economic challenges, there is growing interest in models that centre holistic well-being. This session presents a pioneering case study from the Well-being and EESG Alliance (WEGA), exploring how China and Singapore—two nations with distinct histories, cultures, and governance systems—are forging innovative pathways to align national development with both human and planetary flourishing.

Drawing from a three-year research collaboration between TPC (Tsao Pao Chee) and the National University of Singapore, the session offers a comparative perspective on how governance, policy, and societal values influence national well-being outcomes. It introduces a new framework that integrates EESG (Economics, Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles with inner development, positioning both as critical levers for reimagining progress.

At a time when the global community seeks alternatives to GDP as the dominant measure of success, this session provides grounded insights into how governments can design systems rooted in sustainability, dignity, and shared purpose.
